Safety & the honest caveats
- No controlled trials exist in pets. Everything reported is observational vet use and case series — useful real-world signal, but not proof.
- Cancer is a contraindication. Tissue-repair peptides promote new blood-vessel growth, so they're avoided in animals with active or high-risk cancer.
- Cats are dosed lower than dogs and their tiny volumes are hard to measure — dilute more if the draw is under ~2 units, and never eyeball it.
- Handle it right: refrigerate reconstituted vials, protect from light, use a 31G insulin syringe and clean technique.
- Involve your vet. They can prescribe compounded versions legally and monitor your animal — this page is a starting point for that conversation, not a substitute for it.

What peptides are used in pets?
The most-used are BPC-157 and TB-500 for soft-tissue, tendon, and gut recovery, GHK-Cu for wounds and skin, and KPV for inflammation and gut-barrier support. A longevity tier (NAD+, MOTS-c, Epithalon) is used experimentally in senior pets. These are the same research peptides sold to humans; pet owners dose them by the animal's body weight.
Is it legal to give peptides to my pet?
Peptides like BPC-157 are not FDA-approved for any veterinary use, but veterinarians have legal authority to use compounded medications off-label when they judge it in the patient's best interest. Products sold online as research chemicals are not approved for animal use. Work with a licensed vet.
How do I dose peptides for a dog or cat?
Dosing is based on body weight (mcg per kg). Reported ranges for BPC-157 are about 5-10 mcg/kg/day in dogs and lower in cats; TB-500 is roughly 0.1-0.25 mg/kg per week in dogs. Are peptides safe for pets?
