Pet peptide vet discussion chart

Bring this BPC-157 weight chart and KPV worksheet to a licensed veterinarian to discuss your animal's care. It is educational arithmetic, not veterinary advice or a prescription.

Reference reconstitution only: 5 mg in 2 mL (2.5 mg/mL). Use the pet peptide calculator for any other vial or water amount. Rounded units can be hard to measure for small animals; ask your veterinarian about measurement accuracy, and never eyeball micro-volumes. Syringe arithmetic applies only to a veterinarian-selected injectable format, not oral capsules.

For horses, use the pet peptide calculator with your veterinarian.

KPV worksheet: veterinarian-supplied figure only

Our policy: “PeptidePub intentionally provides no preset KPV mcg/kg dose” because pet dosing is not standardized. Enter only the figure supplied by a licensed veterinarian, not a number borrowed from a human protocol, mouse study, social post, or unrelated peptide.

Read KPV for dogs and review KPV product and testing information.

Questions to settle with your veterinarian

  • What diagnosis are we trying to address? What is the goal?
  • What is the current weight, age, and body condition?
  • Which route and product format make sense: oral capsule or subcutaneous?
  • If dosing is considered, what mcg/kg figure should be entered into the calculator?
  • What is the right dose and course length for your specific animal?
  • Which monitoring criteria make sense? Are kidney or liver issues relevant?
  • What are the exact stop conditions?
  • Is there active cancer or elevated cancer risk? If yes, do not use a research peptide.
  • Which drugs, supplements, and allergies could change the plan?
  • Is there a batch-matched Certificate of Analysis confirming identity, purity, and net content?

Frequently asked questions

How is peptide dosing for pets calculated?

Pet peptide dosing is based on body weight. A per-kilogram amount (mcg/kg) reported in veterinary use is multiplied by the animal's weight to get a total dose in micrograms, then converted to units on a U-100 insulin syringe using the vial's concentration. This calculator does that arithmetic on the numbers you enter; it does not prescribe a dose.

Is there a proven KPV dose for dogs?

No. PeptidePub provides no preset KPV dose. Any dosing discussion should be weight-based and led by a licensed veterinarian. Once the veterinarian supplies a mcg/kg figure, the pet calculator can handle the arithmetic.

Is it safe to give my pet peptides?

There are no randomized controlled trials of these peptides in any pet species; use is observational and off-label. Active or high-risk cancer is a contraindication for tissue-repair peptides because of angiogenesis concerns. Always work with a licensed veterinarian before giving any peptide to an animal. This tool is educational and is not veterinary advice.
